Are your dice manufactured/perfect?
Our dice are handmade with resin before being polished and painted by hand. They are not manufactured. While we put a great deal of time and effort during the finishing process to ensure they're as close to perfect as possible, they may still have some small imperfections. (We like to call them their 'personality traits.')
These flaws can include micro-bubbles, surface textures, mold marks, etc. None of these flaws will inhibit the roll-ability of your dice.

Are your dice balanced?
The simple answer: yes.
The longer answer: There are a variety of factors that can affect how dice roll. However, handmade dice tend to be far more reliable, better balanced, and of a higher quality than any factory-made dice you come across.
Our dice are carefully handcrafted. We take time to make each piece as high-quality as possible and use a pressure pot to minimize air bubbles. Any inclusions, colorants, etc. do not weigh enough to affect the dice balance.
Dice that do not meet our normal quality standards are referred to and listed as "B-Grade". These dice are listed at a discounted price with the flaws added to the listing for transparency.
What materials do you use to make your dice?
We use epoxy resin to cast our dice along with an array of alcohol inks, mica powders, glitters, pigment pastes, and inclusions (such as foils, flowers, etc.) to design them. They are painted using acrylic paints.
Do you accept commissions for custom dice orders?
Yes. We occasionally take on dice commissions between regular orders. If you are interested in being added to our waitlist for a custom set, contact us through the Commission Request Form here or reach out through Instagram or TikTok (@thegriffonsnest).
Commission set order pricing starts at:
- Simple Set: $119+. Includes up to 2 colors, mica powder, metallic foils, or a basic shimmer or glitter.
- Moderate Set: $149+. Includes glow-in-the-dark powders, mylar, florals, more than 2 colors, etc.
- Extra/Multi-Step Set: $179+. Sets that involve use of blanks and extra steps, including stickers, nail foils, paint-dip, etc. This tier is also reserved for incredibly detailed requests beyond the Moderate tier.
We also offer commissions for single jumbo D20s and other items.

Are your dice available for resale/commercial use?
My dice are NOT available for resale or commercial use without prior written consent. If you're interested in adding my art to your store, I'd love to chat! Please contact me directly through the chat to discuss more details.
Why do you charge what you do for your dice?
All our dice are designed, tested, cast, sanded/polished, and painted by hand by us. This process takes many, many hours to create, involves a lot of various tools and materials, and requires a level of expertise we have cultivated over years of trial and error. We have to cover all of those costs as well as the many costs of running a business, but we still make every effort to price them as accessibly as we can.
We do not mass-manufacture our dice. Instead, these are unique pieces of art, handmade with precision and care.

The item I wanted is sold out! Will you be restocking it?
We're sorry the item you wanted is sold out. If it's dice, we will likely be restocking soon. We enjoy experimenting with other items and designs and often test them on a small scale to see if others love them as much as we do. If there was enough interest, we will be restocking as soon as possible.
